چکیده

Abstract Chromium contamination is one of the most common heavy metal pollutants. Degradation highly toxic Cr(VI) by microbial remediation technology can open up a new way for environmentally friendly and efficient chromium pollution control. The adsorption reduction kinetics Enterobacter cloacae SKD were studied experiments SKD. mechanism was revealed, characteristics determined. results showed that R 2 value Langmuir model 0.989, which higher than Freundlich 0.656, isotherm more consistent with model. conformed to second-order kinetic model, indicated mainly chemical adsorption. in line Through study mechanism, theoretical basis provided practical application late organism restoration.

Removal of Cr(VI) from aqueous solution using Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter cloacae

The objective of this study is to investigate the removal efficiency of Cr(VI) by Bacillus subtilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Enterobacter cloacae from aqueous solution under different process conditions. Batch mode experiments were carried out as a function of solution pH, biosorbent dosage, Cr(VI) concentration and contact time. The FT-IR spectra and SEM analysis of the biosorbent were reco...

Optimization of solvothermally synthesized ZIF-67 metal organic framework and its application for Cr(VI) adsorption from aqueous solution

In this study, ZIF-67 was synthesized through solvothermal method to remove Cr(VI) ions from aqueous solution. To improve the structural properties of ZIF-67 and its adsorption capacity, optimization of the synthesis conditions was carried out based on maximum Cr(VI) uptake. From experiments, the optimum condition was revealed as solvent: metal ion molar ratio of 4.6:1, ligand: metal ion molar ...

Heavy metal adsorption by modified oak sawdust: thermodynamics and kinetics.

This paper describes the adsorption of heavy metal ions from aqueous solutions by oak (Quercus coccifera) sawdust modified by means of HCl treatment. Our study tested the removal of three heavy metals: Cu, Ni, and Cr. The optimum shaking speed, adsorbent mass, contact time, and pH were determined, and adsorption isotherms were obtained using concentrations of the metal ions ranging from 0.1 to ...

Cr(VI) Adsorption on Red Mud Modified by Lanthanum: Performance, Kinetics and Mechanisms

Water pollution caused by the highly toxic metal hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) creates significant human health and ecological risks. In this study, a novel adsorbent was used to treat Cr(VI)-containing wastewater; the adsorbent was prepared using red mud (RM) generated from the alumina production industry and the rare earth element lanthanum. This study explored adsorption performance, kinetics...
